VHP and ozone

Vaporized hydrogen peroxide and ozone are oxidizing sterilants. EPDM is frequently selected for this duty because of its heat and oxidation resistance. Kingsure KS5000 lists compatibility with VHP and ozone, while final exposure parameters still require process validation.

Autoclave / steam sterilization

Repeated heat and pressure can accelerate changes in elasticity and surface condition. KS5000 EPDM is rated for up to 150 autoclave cycles, while KS2000 CSM is rated for up to 60 cycles under qualified conditions. The actual life depends on cycle temperature, duration, glove thickness and use between cycles.

Gamma irradiation
